Project for an Unidentified Political Object, 2015

In 2015 I established the political party Campaign and stood for parliament for Hackney South & Shoreditch in the 2015 General Election.

Excerpt from the Campaign manifesto:

"The question, for which I wish to broach no immediate answer, would be, what is our ability to pose an open question within the inaugural space of openness, yes that which embodies all that is total and free? Such a question would ask of us to struggle to think openness through openness, to open up this dream of the open, to dwell in openness, exactly so as to sense the limit condition, which may border the open. Thereby allowing a view of the open, which henceforth will come to deracinate, to sully this space of the sovereign with the stain of all that is unworthy of the Idea. It is only then, through the work of the vague, that a key, a language is able to be posed, which opens the closed openness evident within how we see and employ the potential inherent within this facility. A facility moreover, which encourages a sense of freedom, which chimes with current notions abroad that the monad is free to wander without constraint. We may need to consider therefore what this facility to think without border opens onto? So as to start to see, in equal measure, how the extreme lights of this all-giving pervasive landscape facilitated the actuality of the camp, to be discretely thought through and patiently planned imaginatively. And it is also to see, the irreal perfection of an eternal nowhere. A narration of a time to come, a time to struggle for, that is inscribed through a capacity, a latent regularity of elements, predisposed for aleatoric free-play, outside of all ethic, authority, history, as each monad [for is not here that we finally stand alone?] transcends, gravity aside, an undeniable narcissism, while imagining ever so slightly, what could be."
